Mostly because a lot of the mods I have seen surprised me a lot.
It wasn't too long before I started messing with other stuff and soon after mods came.
And for what reason? Because they do less damage than shotguns. For instance, swords have such low accuracy, that they actually have far lower chance to hit than shotguns do from further out. I messed around with the ini files a bunch to tweak the game to my liking.
It is also a highly customizable game, which I appreciate immensely.
